What is The Sweet Spot?
The Sweet Spot is a dessert destination with four stores in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. We serve premium real ice cream, Explosive Milkshakes®, fresh-to-order desserts, Italian coffee and espresso drinks, organic matcha and specialty drinks.
What makes The Sweet Spot different from a regular ice cream shop?
The Sweet Spot combines premium ice cream with fresh-to-order warm desserts, signature milkshakes and crafted beverages in a colorful setting made for families, friends and celebrations. Explore our brand overview.
Is The Sweet Spot an ice cream shop or a dessert bar?
Both descriptions can be useful, but dessert destination is the best overall fit. Guests can order premium ice cream as well as milkshakes, funnel cakes, churros, coffee, matcha and other specialty drinks.
Is The Sweet Spot family-friendly and good for groups?
Yes. Families, friends, birthdays and other celebration groups are welcome at every store. Regular seating is first come, first served, so tables cannot be held or guaranteed together.
Can I take photos in The Sweet Spot stores?
Personal photos are welcome. Please arrange professional filming, commercial photography or media visits in advance through our Newsroom or Contact page.

What does The Sweet Spot serve?

Are The Sweet Spot desserts made fresh after ordering?
Yes. Our prepared desserts are made fresh after you order rather than being assembled far in advance. Timing can vary by item and during busy periods.
What is an Explosive Milkshake?
An Explosive Milkshake® is a signature specialty milkshake made with premium real ice cream and finished with themed toppings. See examples on the Explosive Milkshakes page.
Does The Sweet Spot serve real premium ice cream?
Yes. Premium real ice cream is served at all four locations. Visit the Ice Cream Flavors page for the current selection.
Where can I see the current ice cream flavors?
Use the Ice Cream Flavors page for the current flavor guide. Flavors can rotate or vary, so check before making a special trip for one selection.
Do you serve funnel cakes and churros?
Yes. Funnel cakes and churros are part of our dessert menu and are prepared after ordering. Check the Menu page and your selected store for current availability.
Do all four locations serve Italian coffee, espresso drinks and organic matcha?
Yes. Italian coffee, espresso drinks and organic matcha are available at all four stores. See the Coffee & Matcha page for current choices.
Are vegan, dairy-free, sorbet and no-sugar-added choices available?
Yes. At least one vegan or dairy-free option and a no-sugar-added ice cream are continuously available at all four stores, and sorbet is also available. Selections can change, so review the current flavor information.
Can The Sweet Spot accommodate food allergies?
Tell the store team about any allergy before ordering. We can help review ingredient information, but products are prepared in shared environments and cross-contact cannot be guaranteed. Read our Allergen Information.
Can I customize an order?
Available substitutions and customizations depend on the item and current ingredients. Ask the selected store or review the options shown by the ordering platform.
Do menu items and flavors vary by location?
They can. Core categories are offered broadly, but flavors, seasonal items, prices and platform menus may differ by store. The selected store and ordering menu are the final sources for current availability.
Locations, Hours & Store Amenities
Where are The Sweet Spot locations?
The Sweet Spot has Providence Road, Atlantic Avenue and Atlantic Park stores in Virginia Beach, plus Summit Pointe in Chesapeake. Compare addresses and directions on the Locations page.
Where can I find current store hours?
Each individual store page publishes that location’s current hours. Start on the Locations page and select the store you plan to visit.
Do all locations have indoor seating and patios?
Yes. All four stores have sit-down seating and year-round patios. Regular tables are first come, first served and are not reserved.
Are pets allowed on the patios?
Yes. Pets are permitted on the year-round patios at all four stores. This does not change applicable service-animal or indoor-access rules.
Where can I check parking, directions, accessibility, restrooms and Wi-Fi?
These details are store-specific. Review the individual location page before visiting because parking and amenities are not identical at every store.
Which locations are open after 10 p.m.?
Atlantic Avenue is open until 11 p.m. daily. Atlantic Park, Providence Road and Summit Pointe are open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and close at 10 p.m. on other days. Check the store page for current or holiday hours.
Online Ordering, Delivery & Value
Can I order The Sweet Spot online?
Yes. Visit the Online Ordering page, select the correct store and review its current pickup and delivery choices before checkout.
Is pickup available?
Direct online pickup ordering is available for Atlantic Park, Providence Road and Summit Pointe. Atlantic Avenue does not offer first-party online pickup. Review the Online Ordering page for the current store-specific options.
Do all four locations offer delivery?
Yes. DoorDash and Uber Eats are available for all four stores, subject to the delivery address and platform availability.
Which locations offer Grubhub and direct online ordering?
Providence Road and Summit Pointe offer DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub and direct online ordering. Atlantic Park offers DoorDash, Uber Eats and direct online ordering but does not currently offer Grubhub. Atlantic Avenue offers DoorDash and Uber Eats but does not offer direct online ordering or Grubhub.
Are all menu items available for online ordering?
Not always. Availability can vary by store, time and platform, and some desserts are best enjoyed in the shop. The ordering menu shows the current selection for the store you choose.
Why can prices differ by store or ordering platform?
Atlantic Avenue base store pricing is slightly higher than at the other stores, and third-party ordering prices, fees and promotions may differ. Confirm the final total on the selected platform before checkout.
How long do fresh-to-order desserts take?
Preparation time depends on the item and how busy the store is because prepared desserts are made after ordering. Use the estimate shown online or ask the store team when you arrive.
Does The Sweet Spot sell gift cards online?
Yes. Purchase online gift cards through our Gift Cards page and review the current terms before purchase.
Does The Sweet Spot have a loyalty program?
Yes. Current rewards details and enrollment are available on the Sweet Rewards signup page.
How do I get help with an existing order?
Use the support details in your confirmation and contact the store that prepared the order. For a third-party delivery issue, also report the problem through that delivery platform.
Birthdays, Groups & Private Igloo Lounge
Does The Sweet Spot take table reservations?
No. Regular seating at every store is first come, first served, and tables cannot be reserved or held. The Private Igloo Lounge at Providence Road is the only reservation-based experience.
Can I celebrate a birthday or party at The Sweet Spot?
Yes. Birthday and party groups are welcome during regular business hours, but tables are not reserved and seating together is not guaranteed. Review the group policies below before visiting.
Can I visit with a large group?
Yes. There is no stated group-size cap, but seating is first come, first served and the store cannot guarantee that a large group will sit together. Arriving early can improve the available seating choices.
Can I bring a birthday cake, food or drinks?
No. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, including birthday cakes. Guests can choose desserts and drinks from the current Sweet Spot menu.
Can I bring party decorations?
Decorations are permitted, but confetti is not allowed. Decorations must not damage the store, block walkways or interfere with other guests.
Do you offer birthday packages, catering, group menus or discounts?
No standard birthday package, catering package, group menu or group discount is currently offered. Use the Contact page for an unusual partnership inquiry, but do not assume a service is available until confirmed.
Where is the Private Igloo Lounge and how do I reserve it?
The Private Igloo Lounge is available only at the Providence Road store and requires advance online booking. Visit the Igloo Lounge page to view availability and reserve.
Where can I find the current Igloo price, capacity and rules?
The Igloo Lounge page is the current source for price, capacity, session length, availability and booking rules. Review the displayed terms before checkout because operational details can change.
